Through GBCA’s partnership with Drexel University Online, members are eligible for  discounts in several online professional development offerings: The Civil Engineer PE Exam Preparatory Course  and Leadership in Construction.

The PE Exam Prep Course consists of 21 weekly online sessions to prepare for the October 27, 2017 exam. Sessions are 2-2.5 hours in duration and include specialized coursework, case studies and problem solving challenges relating to topics that are frequently in the PE Exam, including construction management, structural analysis, geotechnical, transportation, water resources and environmental engineering, and engineering economics.

Leadership in Construction, taught by GBCA Board Member Charles W. Cook, Ph.D., will start on April 4, 2017. This course is intended to introduce students to effective leadership principles and practices in the construction industry. Topics covered include management and organizational structure; leadership paradigms, styles, and traits, motivation, and emotional intelligence. Collaboration and learn building are also addressed in the course. All are studied in relationship to personal leadership potential and fulfillment.
