Luis E. Torrado, a North Philadelphia native, established Torrado Construction Co., Inc. in 1995. Luis (Lou) grew his successful business from its humble beginnings run from his parent’s home in the Spring Garden section of Philadelphia. Luis’s parents came to the United States from Puerto Rico in the 1950’s and instilled in him a strong work ethic. Luis worked while attending school at the Community College of Philadelphia, Temple University’s School of Architecture and Drexel University for Construction Management. Today, Torrado Construction Co., Inc. is based in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia.

Torrado’s Construction Co., Inc. provides services including general construction work from foundations through roof assemblies including masonry, drywall and finish work. Other services include selective demolition, concrete/form work, earthwork, minor excavation and underground tank removal.

Torrado Construction Co., Inc. is a certified MBE. They have done work for the City of Philadelphia, City of Philadelphia School District, Community College of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Zoo, National Park Service, SEPTA, and many other private clients.

Torrado Construction Co., Inc. was awarded the 2015 GBCA Construction Excellence Award for Best Specialty Contractor.
