On January 27, GBCA gathered to celebrate our 2024 successes and look ahead to an exciting 2025 at our Annual Meeting.
This year’s event also marked a leadership transition on our Board of Directors. We extend our deepest gratitude to Craig Melograno, President of PDM Constructors, Inc., for his dedication and service to GBCA.
We are also proud to welcome Maura Hesdon, General Manager of Shoemaker Construction Co., as GBCA’s new Chairman of the Board. Maura has been a Board member f GBCA for eight years, and on the EC Committee for four. Over the past two years, she has also served as the Board champion for the operational excellence pillar of GBCA’s strategic plan. We look forward to her leadership as we continue to grow and strengthen the industry.
Congratulations to Emily Bittenbender of Bittenbender Construction, LP this year’s GBCA Distinguished Director Award honoree! For nearly 20 years, Bittenbender Construction, LP has been a valued member of GBCA, and Emily has served on our Board of Directors for 17 years. In 2015, she made history as the first female Chair of GBCA in its 134-year legacy. We are proud to recognize her remarkable contributions to the industry.
A huge thank you to our special guest, Brandon Graham—the 13th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, a two-time Walter Payton Man of the Year candidate, and a 2x Super Bowl Champion. Brandon brought incredible energy to the evening, getting the crowd pumped up and making the night even more memorable. We truly appreciate him spending time with us and sharing his inspiring presence.
