On March 6, GBCA’s Construction Leadership Council (CLC) brought real-world industry insights to Drexel University’s Estimating II class.
The panel featured four CLC members:

  • Mike Fehrle, INTECH Construction, LLC
  • Steven Gobac, CLC Officer, Skanska USA Building Inc
  • Oliver Lutter, Frank T. Lutter, Inc.
  • Branden Murphy, Old Philadelphia Associates, Inc.

These industry professionals shared their experiences, providing students with valuable perspectives on careers in estimating. The discussion covered how each panelist got started in the industry, the challenges they face, the software and tools they use, and notable projects they’ve worked on. They also shared key lessons learned throughout their careers, giving students a deeper understanding of what it takes to succeed in estimating.

By connecting students with industry experts, GBCA and the CLC continue to support the next generation of construction professionals, helping them gain a deeper understanding of the field and career opportunities ahead.
