On March 5th, GBCA’s Construction Leadership Council (CLC), in partnership with CAEP’s Young Executive Council (YEC), hosted a CLC Leadership Series event, The Truth Exposed: Why Performance Alone Isn’t Enough, at Yards Brewing Company in celebration of Women in Construction Week.
Presented by Tara Marcus and Shannon Peck of DillonMarcus as part of the Unleashing Women at Work series, the session challenged the common belief that hard work alone leads to success.
Attendees explored the P.I.E. model—Performance, Image, and Exposure—and gained actionable strategies to elevate their careers, strengthen their professional brand, and enhance their visibility. The discussion also covered key networking questions and critical factors influencing career advancement.
The evening concluded with networking and meaningful career growth discussions, fostering new connections and professional development opportunities.
