On April 10, safety professionals from across the region gathered at the Finishing Trades Institute for a half-day Fall Protection Equipment Training Session. The event was hosted in partnership by GBCA, the Philadelphia Building Trades Safety Committee (PBTSC), the Mid-Atlantic Construction Safety Council (MACSC), and the Philadelphia Area Labor Management Committee (PALM BUILT-RITE).
Held as part of OSHA’s National Stand-Down to Prevent Falls initiative, the training focused on identifying and removing defective fall protection equipment from Philadelphia-area construction sites. Through a combination of expert-led lectures and hands-on breakout sessions, participants gained valuable knowledge in fall prevention strategies and proper gear inspection techniques.
All attendees received a Certificate of Completion, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining safe and compliant worksites across the region.
