GBCA recently connected with the next generation of trades professionals at two impactful events: the Williamson College of the Trades Career Fair and the Rosie’s Girls Trade Fair.
On March 18, GBCA participated in the Williamson College of the Trades Career Fair, held on campus in Media, PA. Alongside 180 companies set up in Williamson’s student center, GBCA engaged with students to share the benefits of working in union construction and explored the wide range of career opportunities available in the trades.
Williamson is a three-year institution focused on trade and technical education, preparing students for careers in carpentry, masonry, machinery, and more.
On March 21, GBCA participated as a vendor at the 3rd Annual Rosie’s Girls Trade Fair on Friday, an event celebrating the dedication and achievements of women in the skilled trades. The day began with the Rosie’s Girls Graduation Ceremony, recognizing the achievements of the 2024 Fall Cohort. After the ceremony, attendees explored the Trade Fair, engaging with tool vendors, pre-apprenticeship programs, and industry professionals.
As part of the event, GBCA connected with aspiring tradeswomen, sharing insights about career opportunities in construction and highlighting pathways into the industry. It was a fantastic opportunity to support and empower the next generation of women in the trades!
