Construction Safety Stand Down Week, held the week of May 5, is a nationwide opportunity to reinforce the importance of safety on the job site and prevent life-threatening hazards. To support this mission, GBCA visited job sites across the region to engage directly with workers and share essential safety practices.
To support this critical initiative, GBCA’s Safety Consultant, Jim McGugan, and staff, visited several member job sites, to discuss the proper use of equipment, and the importance of wearing PPE. These demonstrations provided valuable opportunities for workers to pause their day, reflect on safety practices, and ask questions about hazard prevention.
GBCA also distributed hard hat stickers, jobsite banners, and t-shirts as visual reminders that safety is everyone’s responsibility—and always a top priority.
