GBCA Supports Philadelphia’s H.O.M.E. Initiative to Expand Housing and Jobs

On February 19, 2025, Mayor Cherelle L. Parker signed Executive Order 3-25, launching the Housing Opportunities Made Easy (H.O.M.E.) Initiative to create or preserve 30,000 housing units in Philadelphia. The General Building Contractors Association (GBCA) expressed strong support for this initiative, with Director of Public Affairs Erin Dwyer Harvard emphasizing its role in addressing the city’s critical accessible housing needs while stimulating economic growth and creating good-paying union construction jobs.
