The NAWIC Philadelphia Foundation is presenting its award-winning Block Kids Program on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 Hall in Philadelphia. The competition is for students in Grades 1 through 6.
Block Kids is a national building competition designed for children in Grades 1 through 6 to explore construction careers. Each child receives 100 blocks and can choose three additional items (a small rock, string, foil, or poster board). They have one hour to unleash their creativity and construct a project related to construction.
This event is an excellent opportunity to introduce kids and their parents to the construction industry, and to create awareness of construction careers. In addition to the competition, representatives from several local Trade organizations will be present to highlight what they do. If you work in the construction trades, bring your children and show them the breadth of construction careers!

NAWIC is also looking for sponsors for the event.
