Battaglia Electric, Inc. and BAI Excavating, LLC are looking for talented individuals to join their team as a Safety Director and a VDC/BIM Designer I & II.

Safety Director

Primary Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Management of company safety program “Serious About Safety” and the company Safety Team and Council
  • Maintain compliance for all safety documents and procedures
  • Manage and document all business insurance and claims
    • Submit OCIP calculations and monthly reporting
  •  Ensure company-wide OSHA compliance
    • Injury/Incident Recordkeeping
    • BEI Site Audits; Work with Safety Team and BAI Safety Managers
    • Schedule OSHA Training: Supply required State and Federal posters
  • Administer the Substance Abuse Policy
    • Administer State/County requirements – Pre-Employment; Random; Post
  • Conduct background checks
    • Request and process background checks for specific jobs
    • Write compliance letters
    • DMV – process driving record checks
  • Maintain the company’s ISN Certification
    • Keep Battaglia companies’ complaint maintain A rating on ISN
    • Manage ISN hourly reporting
  • Training
    • Keep employees compliant with the latest training in their field
    • Maintain state-required trainings such as sexual harassment
    • Organize regular Toolbox Talks
    • Set up and schedule training
  • Conduct routine site visits in coordination with Foremen/PMs

VDC/BIM Designer I

Primary Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with Revit and AutoCAD MEP software
  • Work with Bluebeam software
  • Work with BEI standards and filing structure to maintain document management
  • Develop 3D coordination models using Revit MEP
  • Develop 2D drawings with a high level of detail and accuracy to include section and detail views
  • Review Contract drawings, Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, to assist with Electrical design
  • Review Contract Electrical drawings and Special systems drawing to interpret the design intent to create 3D model and build sheets for prefabrication and Field install
  • Review Vendor Submittal to assist with providing an accurate 3D design model
  • Work with other team members to ensure a code complaint design
  • Participate in monthly company sponsored training for computer and software knowledge enhancements

VDC/BIM Designer II
