Perryman Shoemaker and the Capital Programs Division of the School District of Philadelphia held a beam signing event for the Lewis C. Cassidy Academics Plus new school building. The new school, located in Philadelphia’s Overbrook neighborhood, will serve 570 students from pre-K through eighth grade.

The event was attended by elected officials including Senator Vincent Hughes and State Representative Curtis Jones, Jr. School District of Philadelphia Leadership was represented by Reginal L. Streater, Esq., Board President, Dr. Tony B. Watlington, Sr., Superintendent, Edwin Santana, Deputy Chief of Community Relations, Cassidy Principal Herman Douglas, Jr., and Board Members Cecelia Thompson and Sarah-Ashley Andrews. The stakeholders toured the structure and signed a large piece of steel that will be used to top off the steel structure.
