Ask any member his or her top three reasons for joining GBCA, and you will be guaranteed to hear the word “networking” somewhere in that list. GBCA is a connector in the construction industry, and as such provides a complete schedule of networking events and activities throughout the calendar year.

GBCA hosts a signature event in each of the four seasons of the year: The Annual Meeting in Winter, Region on the Rise in Spring, Golf Outing in Summer, and Construction Excellence Awards in Fall.

Other events throughout the year include the Beer Tasting, Open House, Tennis, Sporting Clay Outings, and AGC Mid-Year and Annual Conferences.

Forums — Tapping into the expertise of our members, the association co-sponsors educational forums with Affiliate members throughout the year on topics of interest. Some of these have included succession planning, legal issues, contract law, etc. These free forums benefit both the sponsoring firm and the membership at large.

Communication — Communication is key. The GBCA website, newsletters, quarterly magazine “Construction Today” and annual report keep the membership abreast of all association and industry activity.

Committees — Committees are an important driver for the association. Each committee meets to develop goals and initiatives for the coming year.
