On December 11, GBCA’s Director of Education and Professional Development Angela Hendrix, PlanGrid’s Josh Progar, and Keystone Mountain Lakes Regional Council of Carpenters’s Layla Bibi spoke to students at Mariana Bracetti Academy Charter High School in Kensington about careers in ACE industries (Architecture, Construction, & Engineering).

Josh spoke about some of the construction-related aspects of architecture and engineering. Angela spoke about GBCA’s role representing General Contractors and the types of jobs in their offices, as well as the importance and value of a strong labor workforce in the trades. Layla then spoke specifically about carpentry, and the types of education and training involved in becoming a carpenter.

Angela also handed out copies of GBCA’s new Build Your Career In Construction book.
