H.F. “Gerry” Lenfest Dies at 88

GBCA joins the City of Philadelphia in mourning the death of Philadelphia philanthropist H.F. “Gerry” Lenfest.

Mr. Lenfest died on August 5, 2018. His life was dedicated to media institutions and developing Philadelphia into a great, culturally rich city.

Mr. Lenfest was responsible for supporting several major cultural institutions in the city in the 2000s. Some of these activities included funding building projects such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art renovation (GC: LF Driscoll), the Kimmel Center (GC: LF Driscoll), the Barnes Foundation (GC: LF Driscoll), and the Museum of the American Revolution (GC: INTECH Construction).
