John Jakimowicz of Madison Concrete Construction wins Safety Award

On Saturday, November 4, 2017, the Mid Atlantic Construction Safety Council held its 20th anniversary gala at SugarHouse Casino. At the event, John Jakimowicz, the Safety Director for Madison Concrete Construction, was honored as the Safety Professional of the Year.

The award is given in recognition of outstanding leadership, dedication, and service in the field of construction safety. Congratulations, John!

John Jakimowicz has been working in the Safety field for over 20 years, and at Madison Concrete Construction since 2012. John had a goal of creating a safe and healthy workplace for Madison employees and he was able to win the support of senior management at Madison Concrete to implement a comprehensive safety program. Using his field experience as a Union Laborer and Safety Manager he won the respect of Madison employees with his dedication to doing the right thing when it comes to working safely.

John has been responsible for the safety of over 400 Madison workers on multiple projects. On a daily basis John is in the field working with employees to ensure good safety practices.

John is a member of the GBCA Safety Committee.
