LF Driscoll joined with its partners constructing the new Penn Medicine Pavilion in May coinciding with OSHA’s National Safety Stand Down for an event that provided an opportunity for employers to talk directly to employees about safety. The first event raised fall hazard awareness and reviewed important safety standards in an effort to ensure that on-site workers return safely home to their families every day. Representatives from GBCA and OSHA were present.

PennFirst is dedicated construction safety, and produced a short video about the safety culture on the construction site:

The Penn Medicine Pavilion is a $1.5 billion inpatient hospital on the West Philadelphia campus of the University of Pennsylvania Health System that will include more than 500 patient rooms, 47 operating rooms, and a new emergency department. The building project is a joint venture between LF Driscoll and Balfour Beatty US. GBCA members Madison Concrete Construction, Oliver Fire Protection & Security, Philadelphia D&M, Berlin Steel, and Dale Construction are also working on the project.
