Construction Dive predicts that modular construction will increase in 2018, and reach a 6% increase by 2022. Companies such as Turner Construction and Gilbane have increased their use of pre-fabricated components to the point of creating project manager positions to handle offsite construction.
Developers are noting that offsite construction can increase efficiency, cutting costs and compressing project timelines.
