Over the past four years, the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters (NRCC) has partnered with Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia to help build 15 new homes in the City of Philadelphia.
Last year, Local 158 carpenters dedicated their time and expertise to frame Habitat houses for the Diamond Park development, located along the 2000 block of N. 16th Street in North Philadelphia. Later this year, carpenters are expected to assist Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia in the final phase of development at Diamond Park by assisting in the construction of the final five homes.

On Thursday, November 2, 2017, Philadelphia’s City Council advanced a bill about regulations for mobile crane operators. GBCA has been working with the City Councilmembers to propose regulations that will both improve construction safety in the city and not hinder construction in the city.
The GBCA supports Philadelphia’s bid to be home to the new Amazon HQ, and our members are at the ready to demonstrate that #PhillyDelivers! We’re excited to see Philadelphia being talked about as one of the best contenders for Amazon.
