For WIC Week 2019, GBCA is spotlighting its members that are Certified Women Business Enterprises (WBEs). There are many women who have strong, leadership roles in Philadelphia’s construction companies, and in these companies, this leadership includes ownership.
We’re happy to see all of these companies in our membership and in Philadelphia’s commercial construction industry!
Far gone are the days when the stereotypical profile of a construction worker actually held true. Today, there is not one single face of the industry. Construction professionals today show diversity in age, race, ethnicity, gender, and socioeconomic status, and with efforts underway to strengthen the industry by enhancing heterogeneity, it will become even more so in years to come.
On November 16, 2018, CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Philadelphia held its 20th Annual Fall Luncheon. The luncheon was attended by over 800 people, and was held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. GBCA was proud to sponsor and attend this event, hosted by an organization that represents women in commercial real estate. The event was attended by representatives of many industries, including real estate, construction, development, architecture, engineering, housing services, and more.
