In a recent ENR webinar discussing how top construction companies are leveraging opportunities and bracing themselves for problems such as a possible economic slowdown, Bob Mullen, CEO of STO Building Group, highlighted LF Driscoll’s PennFIRST project as an example of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) working well.

The $1.5 billion project, using IPD to build the new Penn Pavilion due in 2021, has brought together a joint venture between LF Driscoll and Balfour Beatty US, along with collaborators Foster+Partners, HDR, and more.

Mullen claims that the system is working: “We are all party to the same agreement,” he said. “It’s been very successful because the goal was to have everybody moving in the same direction and because success is well defined.”
