GBCA is your direct connection to local, state, and federal governmental officials and policy makers. We monitor, initiate and engage legislation at all three levels on behalf of our members.
Local
We maintain a working relationship with the Philadelphia City Council, the Mayor and various City agencies. GBCA also attends regular City Council sessions, as well as hearings, announcements, and special events.
State
GBCA actively engages in state advocacy efforts to promote a strong and sustainable union construction industry in PA. through coalition building, member engagement, and direct contact with lawmakers, GBCA works to advance legislation that ensures the security and prosperity of union construction.
National
The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) advocates nationally for key construction issues, engaging with Congress and federal agencies on infrastructure, workforce development, labor, tax policy, and other regulations. GBCA values their connection with AGC and evaluates the policies that AGC supports based on their impact on GBCA member companies.
GBCA PAC
GBCA represents our members as well as Philadelphia’s greater union construction industry, and we work to have a unified voice before our elected officials. Maintaining a strong PAC allows GBCA to remind political and industry leaders that we have a powerful grassroots network, effective leadership, and a committed membership.
