On April 9, GBCA participated in the Mastery Schools Annual Postsecondary Fair at the Mastery Charter Pickett Campus in Germantown. Students from six Mastery campuses—Pickett, Lenfest, Simon Gratz, Hardy Williams, Shoemaker, and Thomas—attended to explore a range of post-graduation pathways, including universities, community colleges, and careers in the skilled trades.
During the fair, GBCA engaged with students and teachers, sharing information about careers in construction and distributing workforce development trade cards. We also spoke with students about apprenticeship opportunities available after graduation, highlighting clear and accessible pathways into the skilled trades.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect directly with the school community and encourage students to consider construction as a viable and rewarding career path.
