On May 21, GBCA attended a Safety Stand Down at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) project, led by LF Driscoll. The event brought together workers, contractors, and industry partners to reinforce the importance of jobsite safety and recognize the professionals contributing to the project. In support, GBCA distributed 500 t-shirts to workers on site.

The event also featured several GBCA member companies as vendors, including Med-Tex Services, Milwaukee Tool, and United Rentals.

The stand down included employee raffles, worker recognitions, and a tribute honoring the Ironworkers who recently passed away in the Grays Ferry garage collapse. Donations were collected, and workers signed commemorative t-shirts that were presented to the families of the fallen. A moment of silence was also held in their memory.
