Graboyes Commercial Window Company is a MBE certified US Top 50 glazing firm and a leader in commercial/architectural window installation, having contributed to the diverse built environment of the greater Philadelphia area for more than thirty years. Graboyes is highly regarded for its expertise in the areas of historic retrofit and projects involving occupied space challenges. From their NACC-verified safety and quality control programs to their position as a preferred union employer, they excel at providing a seamlessly integrated window system solution under the direction and control of their own skilled management team. They also provide and install interior glass office partitions, unitized and timber-frame curtainwall solutions, high-performance storefront solutions, and exterior and interior window coverings and controls. With the addition of their Smart Buildings Division, they provide the tools and expertise to apply critical intelligence about the operation of other important building systems, such as HVAC and lighting.

Graboyes was founded in 1984 by Terry Graboyes. By 1993, Graboyes Commercial Window Company was named among the Top 25 Largest Woman-Owned Businesses by the Philadelphia Business Journal. In 2009, it was listed as one of “Inc. Magazine’s Fastest Growing Companies.” In 2012, Terry Graboyes partially retired and sold the majority of the company to CFO John Scott and Tricia Scott. In 2013, the Graboyes office and shop moved to its current LEED-certified location at the Philadelphia Navy Yard Commerce Center. This move unified all departments of the company, from sales and design to engineering and installation, while underscoring the company’s commitment to energy efficiency and high-performing buildings.

In 2017, Graboyes announced that Ellis Guiles would be serving as its new president when Guiles and his investment partners acquire the company. With the new ownership, the company becomes MBE certified and ramps up its smart envelope and building performance position within the sustainable building market of the Mid-Atlantic region.

Graboyes would not be where it is today without its exceptional team of employees who embrace the company’s core values of (1) demonstrating respect for all people, (2) emphasizing safety, integrity, and excellence in all that they do, (3) championing sustainability and smart energy innovation, and (3) contributing to a positive and supportive team.

Over the years, Graboyes has worked with prominent Philadelphia-area architects, developers, energy companies, general contractors, construction managers, and building owners as part of their design and construction teams. They’re proud of their legacy as a leader among glazing firms and building envelope experts.
