On May 23, 2019, the ACE Mentor Program of Greater Philadelphia held its 18th Annual Scholarship Breakfast & Awards Ceremony at the Crystal Tea Room.

Eleven students received scholarships towards their continuing education in architecture, construction, and engineering fields in post-secondary programs, totaling $60,000.

Derrick Dow, II from Roman Catholic High School, received a $5,000 Scholarship sponsored by the General Building Contractors Association. He will be attending Hampton University for Architecture in the Fall 2019.

The event also honored several industry leaders and projects in the Philadelphia Region:

Person of the Year

  • Nick Bayer, Founder and CEO of Saxbys

Project of the Year

  • The Met Philadelphia, Revitalization of the Metropolitan Opera House

Organization of the Year

  • Cooper’s Ferry Partnership of Camden, N.J.

Partnership of the Year

  • CREW Philadelphia

Outstanding Mentor of the Year
