At the 2019 Annual Convention of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), B. Scott Holloway, President and CEO of JOSAM Company and member of GBCA’s Board of Directors, was honored with the Past President’s Award for Lifetime Achievement. The award was presented by AGC’s outgoing president, Eddie Stewart, and AGC Board of Governors member Mark Knight.

The Past President’s Award for Lifetime Achievement honors an AGC member who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to AGC and the construction industry. The award goes to an individual who has committed significant time and energy to AGC and made significant contributions to our Association’s success.

One of Scott’s major contributions to AGC was his work in the Political Action Committee. Scott focused on creating energy around raising funds and meeting financial goals, and later served on the PAC Board of Trustees, and as a PAC Representative for GBCA. AGC’s PAC honored Scott in 2019 for being a 535 Club member for 25 years.

Scott served as Chair of the Service & Supply Council from 2002 to 2004. During that period he also served on AGC’s Board of Directors. He is Member Emeritus of the Service & Supply Council Exec Committee. Scott became an AGC Life Governor in 2010. He also served on the AGC Strategic Plan Implementation Team from 2001-2004.

Scott is also active with the AGC Education and Research Foundation. He joined the Foundation’s board in 2008, and now serves as its Treasurer. He and his family have two endowed scholarships for students in post-secondary construction education.

Thank you, Scott, for your service!
