Lou Bencardino says smart residence construction is still on the rise in Center City Philadelphia, and the Hamilton, just off Broad Street in Center City, is an example of it.

The Hamilton at 15th and Hamilton Street in Philadelphia is one of many new, and renovated residential housing being built that is continuing the trend of new modern developments being built within Center City proving that millennials are moving back to the cities. The Hamilton at 1520 Hamilton Street is a ten-story smart building with fitness center, yoga room, and conference room/business center and even electric-car charging stations.

Bencardino Excavating, Inc. was hired by Clemens Construction Company to provide site work including water, storm, and sewer in addition to curbs and sidewalks. This modern smart residential building is on track to be completed by fall 2018 and starting next year an adjoining tower is expected to be built.

Lou Bencardino, principle at Bencardino, noted that investment in “large, and smartly designed residential buildings in Center City that feature amenities such as idyllic paving and sidewalks, beatifically landscaped courtyards, grassy slopes for sunbathing, fire pits with seating, games, grills, and tables, proves that people are still moving back into the city, and enjoy living and working in the city.”
