On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, Steven Kempf Building Material Co. generously donated and delivered $2,000 worth of lumber and materials to a family in need in Camden.

A 10-year-old girl in Camden became paralyzed after her body was overtaken by infection. She can only be transported by stretcher for doctor’s visits and therapy. The family needed a ramp built to lead to the entry of their home but could not afford the costs associated. Through the efforts of the Camden Business and Contractors Association (CBCA), Torcon, Inc., and the General Building Contractors Association (GBCA) the family was provided with the materials and services to build the ramp.

With the generous help and donation from Steven Kempf Building Material Co. the family is now able to take their daughter to the medical appointments needed.

This truly was a great story that exemplifies the meaning of teamwork and giving back to the community. GBCA loves to see its members working together to help this family in need!
