On Monday, November 10, 2018, the AIA/GBCA Joint Committee held An Owner’s Perspective: Part II. This discussion gave the opportunity for ACE industry members to learn about what owners and developers want when planning construction projects.
Topics covered included issues such as identifying who make up the owners’ clients, supporting Philadelphia’s growth and development by considering diversity issues in who they hire, and accounting for the Greater Philadelphia Region’s infrastructure when designing a project. The speakers also all discussed the need for creative thinking, and how project partners were often selected because of fit, and not only because of a bid price.
