On Wednesday, May 23, 2018, the Joint Health Sciences Center, a joint project with Rowan University and Rutgers University-Camden, celebrated a milestone with a topping off ceremony. Torcon, Inc. is the General Contractor for the project.

The new facility will be used by Rutgers University-Camden, Rowan University, the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, and Camden County College. The Rowan-Rutgers Joint Board of Governors will also maintain offices in the new building. The project is aligned with Camden’s push to develop a robust “Meds and Eds” corridor and will include world-class biomedical research laboratories, a state-of-the-art medical stimulation center, and a center for aging.
