GBCA along with partners from the labor and development communities worked with the City of Philadelphia to create the Final Report of the Joint Task Force on Regulatory Reform. Over a period of six months, stakeholders met on a regular basis to analyze the current state of the Department of Licenses and Inspections and provide recommendations for Mayor Parker and Council President Johnson. On February 8, 2024, GBCA joined the Mayor for a press conference to unveil the new plan and implement the first of many reforms, dividing the Department of L&I into two separate units.
