On November 18, GBCA proudly hosted the 28th Annual Construction Excellence Awards, bringing together members, partners, and industry leaders for an evening dedicated to recognizing the region’s most outstanding construction achievements. This year marked a major transformation of the event—shifting from a traditional dinner to a high-energy industry celebration that spotlighted excellence, collaboration, and innovation across Greater Philadelphia’s union construction community.
Held at the National Constitution Center, the event welcomed hundreds of attendees for networking, project showcases, and the unveiling of this year’s award-winning work. The reimagined format created space for meaningful conversations, new connections, and a dynamic celebration of the people and projects advancing our industry.
This year’s awards featured a record number of applications, a record number of projects recognized, and a record number of member companies represented. Winning projects demonstrated the advantages of union construction through exceptional safety performance, technical expertise, craftsmanship, innovation, and deep collaboration. From historic restorations and healthcare expansions to large-scale commercial developments and specialty construction, each winning team showcased the strength of our industry.
A new highlight of the evening was our Drone Sponsor, IDS Drones, whose aerial footage added an exciting visual dimension to the Awards presentation. We were also honored to recognize the companies and individuals whose leadership and partnership continue to strengthen the region’s built environment.
