6ABC Philly Proud Segment Spotlights Dona File

Dona File, Corporate Safety Director at LF Driscoll and member of GBCA’s Safety Committee, was spotlighted on 6ABC News in their Philly Proud segment on Monday, April 10. GBCA was proud to nominate Dona and create an opportunity for the city to see the excellence in Philadelphia’s commercial construction industry. The segment was filmed at Eastern State Penitentiary, where Dona was speaking with participants of the Carpentry Academy, a preservation-focused pre-apprentice program.

As a young carpenter, a young carpenter apprentice, men would tell me, “You’re stealing a man’s job,” but some really great guys said, “She’s one of us. She is doing everything that we do.”
