The General Building Contractors Association (GBCA) announced that Angelo Perryman has been named Chairman of the Board.

Perryman was elected by the members of GBCA at the association’s Annual Business Meeting on February 9, underscoring the trust and confidence placed in his leadership by the organization’s membership. His election reflects broad support from contractors across the region and a shared commitment to advancing GBCA’s mission and priorities.

Perryman is the second-generation President and CEO of Perryman Construction, a Philadelphia-based construction management firm founded in 1954. With more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry, he has worked as a superintendent, project manager, and construction manager for major international construction firms and has overseen commercial and industrial projects across multiple states, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, Georgia, and Alaska.

“Angelo’s leadership, integrity, and understanding of the construction industry make him the right person to serve as Chairman at this moment,” said GBCA President & CEO Ben Connors. “He is respected by contractors, labor partners, and policymakers alike. Angelo will continue to move our organization forward.”

Perryman brings a strong commitment to union construction, workforce development, and public-private collaboration. As Chairman, he will work closely with GBCA leadership and members to advance policies that strengthen the construction industry, support skilled labor, and promote economic growth across the Greater Philadelphia region.

“I am honored to serve as Chairman of GBCA,” said Perryman. “This organization plays a critical role in shaping the future of construction in our region, and I look forward to working with our members, partners, and public officials to ensure our industry continues to thrive.”

Perryman succeeds Maura Hesdon, whose service as Chair helped advance GBCA’s advocacy efforts, workforce development initiatives, and member engagement.
