On Friday, May 6, 2022, Bittenbender Construction, LP, held a hybrid safety stand down as part of OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction. The stand down was held at the Olney Recreation Center, a Philadelphia ReBuild project, and live-streamed to multiple Bittenbender Construction sites.

Bittenbender Construction’s Director of Construction, Scott Delany, and Project Manager, Will Walker, reminded workers of the importance of being aware of hazards on the jobsite. Joe Healy, GBCA’s Safety Consultant, performed a demonstration, focusing on fall protection equipment inspections, and discussed heat hazards to prepare workers for OSHA’s upcoming 2022 Water. Rest. Shade. campaign.

Thank you to Bittenbender Construction team, as well as representatives of collaborator Antoine Johnson LLC and some of the project’s specialty contractors, including GBCA member Geppert Bros., Inc., for attending and taking a stand for construction safety!
