C. Erickson & Sons recently completed a transformative 8,500-square-foot renovation for Body Odyssey at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, part of the museum’s ongoing bicentennial revitalization. This immersive, high-tech exhibit invites visitors to journey through the human body, blending interactive education with state-of-the-art design.
Working within the museum’s historic structure, the Erickson team integrated sensory-responsive technology, advanced AV systems, and custom display elements while preserving the integrity of the space. The project was completed in a live museum environment, requiring careful coordination to maintain visitor safety and minimize disruption, all while meeting an ambitious timeline. Body Odyssey features a range of engaging experiences, from full-body simulations and sensory challenges to dynamic displays and the iconic Giant Heart.
