Are you interested in a career as a union carpenter, but are nervous about being able to pass the entrance exam? The Carpenters’ Apprentice Ready Program helps Philadelphians who have traditionally faced barriers to employment, particularly in the trades, including women, people of color, and other underserved communities.

Applications are due on November 12, 2021.

Carpentry is a fantastic career. Carpenter apprentices in Philadelphia earn, on average, over $19 per hour plus benefits during their first year. As a union carpenter, you can,

  • Work with your hands
  • Work as part of a team
  • Get a sense of pride from building Philadelphia’s skyline

On November 20, 2021, The Carpenters’ Apprentice Ready Program is holding an information session for interested applicants. During this session, applicants will be interviewed and take a physical try-out and math pre-test.
