GBCA’s Construction Leadership Council (CLC) hosted a Hard Hat Tour and Holiday Party on December 4, giving members an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Philadelphia Ballet’s major facility expansion before finishing the night with bowling and celebration. Led by Turner Construction, attendees toured the 60,000-square-foot, five-story addition scheduled for completion in March 2026. The Turner team members guided participants through each level, highlighting innovative features such as Tuned Mass Dampers and Isolated Concrete Slabs to reduce studio vibrations, a Black-Box Theatre with rigging and a high-tension lighting grid, STC-rated cam-hinged doors, and custom Harlequin dance floors—all designed to elevate the Ballet’s rehearsal, performance, and administrative spaces.
Following the tour, the CLC continued the evening at Liberty Lanes in the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, where members bowled, networked, and celebrated the accomplishments of 2025.
