On Thursday, November 14, 2019, the Philadelphia Emerging Architects of AIA Philadelphia took a tour of the Hyatt Centric project at 17th and Chancellor, being built by Clemens Construction Company.

Before the tour, the group got an overview of the project from representatives of Clemens Construction Company (Steve Pouppirt, President; Paul Horning, VP Construction; and Regis Huelsmann, Project Manager), DAS Architects, and Becker & Frondorf. The group then walked through the project, noting design issues specific to hospitality projects, prefabricated elements of the building’s exterior, and solutions to space constraints, such as three car elevators to reach the underground parking levels.
