Lance Claiborne has become the new president of The Builders, the Kansas City chapter of the Association of General Contractors of America.

From Kansas City Business Journal:

Claiborne sold himself well enough that The Builders introduced him in October as their president. He is the first new leader in two decades and the first Black president for the 130-year-old organization, which claims 650 members with a combined 25,000 employees.

Claiborne spoke at the Kansas City Business Journal’s Power Breakfast earlier this month about his path to the job and the work ahead to make sure the region has the contractors — particularly minority contractors — and workers to keep attracting mammoth projects like KCI, the Panasonic plant in De Soto and data centers in the Northland.
