Many people in the public still do not think of new technologies when they think of the construction industry. While we still use many classic tools that have been around for centuries, we’re also innovating and improving how work is done. To highlight this activity, the 2019 Construction Technology Expo was featured in several video projects (some upcoming).

6abc host Gina Gannon visited the Construction Technology Expo, and filmed a Facebook Live video about the new products available to contractors today. She and Lauren Hanan, Director of Marketing and Communications at GBCA, highlighted several exhibitors:

Carpenter Contractor Trust Network Video
The Carpenter Contractor Trust (CCT) Network came to spotlight different technologies that will impact the construction industry, and specifically the work of carpenters. Matt DeBasio of P. Agnes and Chair of GBCA’s Technology Committee took the video crew around the exhibit floor. Lauren Hanan, Director of Marketing and Communications at GBCA, interviewed several association leaders, discussing how new technologies will impact the industry in terms of how we do our work, but also in terms of how we train our workforce, and work together across different trades. Association leaders featured in the video include,

Drexel University, Construction Management Program Instructional Videos
Dr. Charles Cook, Assistant Clinical Professor and GBCA Board Member, filmed several educational videos featuring exhibitors demonstrating their products.
