CPWR – The Center for Construction Research and Training, the Roofers & Waterproofers Research and Education Joint Trust Fund, and the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention (CIASP) will host a webinar focused on actions everyone in the construction industry can take to help prevent suicide and support worker well-being.
While the construction industry has seen a small but significant decline in suicide deaths in recent years, five times as many construction workers die from suicide as from traditional work-related hazards. Addressing industry factors such as high-pressure work environments and lack of paid leave requires action from industry leaders and decision makers, but everyone has a role to play in supporting a safer, more caring workplace.
