Co-founded by Rocco A. Ortenzio and Robert A. Ortenzio in 1996, NovaCare Rehabilitation is a nationally recognized provider of outpatient physical rehabilitation. NovaCare Rehabilitation incorporates a partnership approach to prevention, workers’ compensation claims and injury management. The goal of its injury prevention services and ergonomics programs is cost and injury reduction through early symptom intervention, ergonomic analysis, employee selection programs, and injury prevention education for employers and employees.

Employers pay more than 15 to 20 billion dollars in workers’ compensation costs each year. Eighty (80) percent of workplace injuries are due to worker habits and more than half are musculoskeletal (sprains and strains) in nature. At NovaCare, the main objective is to effectively partner with employers to reduce the costs of work-related injuries by focusing on injury prevention and management. NovaCare’s services include worksite/on-site physical therapy, job analysis, stretch/flex program development, ergonomic assessments, pre-and post-offer screenings, return-to-work programs, injury prevention education programs, and OSHA ergonomic plan design.

Matt Ries CHT, OTR/L is the Injury Prevention Specialist and Amy Weston is the Business Development Manager.
