In honor of National Construction Safety Week last month, GBCA visited several jobsites throughout the Philadelphia region to promote safety awareness and fall protection.
On May 5, GBCA visited two Rycon Construction jobsites. The first stop was the future Clifton Heights Middle School in Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania, where Mike Gale of Med-Tex Services delivered a fall protection presentation for workers on site. Later that day, GBCA visited the future Dick’s House of Sport at the Cherry Hill Mall, which is expected to be completed later this year.
On May 6, GBCA visited the Bittenbender Construction jobsite at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, where the Eastern Atlantic States (EAS) Carpenters are building their new training center. Dennis Dougherty of Med-Tex Services provided a safety presentation, while OSHA representatives shared safety resources and information. Representatives from MAX USA Corp. also conducted tool and product demonstrations for workers.
At each jobsite, GBCA distributed t-shirts and hard hat stickers, and presented project teams with Construction Safety Week banners in recognition of their commitment to maintaining a strong culture of safety.
