GBCA is dedicated to helping its members keep their workers safe. Effective safety messaging does not, however, always require expensive campaigns.

GBCA is proud of our work to promote jobsite safety, and is excited to announce that our Safety Starts with Me: Toolbox Talk Toolkit has been awarded an Honorable Mention in the On a Shoestring Campaign category at the 2021 Platinum PR Awards. Run by PR News, these awards recognize the year’s top public relations and marketing campaigns and professionals.

GBCA’s Toolbox Talk Toolkit provides a free library of toolbox talks to Philadelphia’s commercial construction industry. These talks, mobile-friendly and easily accessed by QR codes placed on high-visibility T-shirts and hard hat stickers, help provide safety training to the region’s construction workforce.



The On a Shoestring Budget category honors projects that create meaningful impact on a small budget.
