On May 17, Geppert Bros., Inc. organized a Fall Safety Stand Down at its job site located at 2700 South 58th Street in Philadelphia. This event was aimed at preventing falls in the construction industry by promoting job site safety, educating workers on the proper use of equipment, and providing a break during the workday to focus on fall hazards and prevention techniques.
Jim McGugan, GBCA’s Safety Consultant, led demonstrations on using fall protection equipment to ensure worker safety. This Safety Stand Down was particularly special as it coincided with Geppert Bros., Inc.’s celebration of 99 years in the demolition business. To mark the anniversary, the company treated employees to lunch from a Chickie’s and Pete’s food truck. Additionally, some lucky employees went home with raffle baskets and other giveaways.
