LF Driscoll has officially broken ground on the first phase of AveArts 2.0—a landmark $150 million, ten-block transformation of Philadelphia’s Avenue of the Arts. This decade-long initiative will reimagine the iconic South Broad Street corridor from City Hall to Washington Avenue into a world-class cultural boulevard featuring new public spaces, green infrastructure, artistic placemaking, and enhanced pedestrian experience.

Work begins on the block between Spruce and Pine Streets, directly in front of the Kimmel Center, with LF Driscoll serving as the construction manager for this signature civic project. The initial phase includes a raised landscaped median, lighting, stormwater features, and native plantings, with completion expected ahead of Philadelphia’s major 2026 celebrations.

This transformational effort reflects a powerful public–private partnership committed to elevating Center City’s cultural identity, supporting climate resilience, and strengthening Philadelphia’s economic future.
