In February 2021, Project HOME was able to re-open the Honickman Learning Center Comcast Technology Labs after renovations were completed by McDonald Building Company. McDonald Building Company and Project HOME partnered to replace the building’s roof, redo interior finishes including flooring and walls, and install new MEP systems throughout the building. These renovations brought the building up to modern technology standards to best serve the community for years to come. Work on the renovation project started during the COVID-19 pandemic and was completed in less than a year.

Project HOME is a community organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty in Philadelphia. The Honickman Learning Center Comcast Technology Labs, opened in 2004, has been the centerpiece of Project HOME’s revitalization strategy for the St. Elizabeth’s/Diamond Street section of North Central Philadelphia, providing progressive hardware and software systems for education and learning to low-income populations in Philadelphia.
