CPWR – The Center for Construction Research and Training and North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) are hosting an important industry conversation focused on preventing heat-related illnesses on construction jobsites. As construction workers often face extreme heat—whether working outdoors in direct sunlight or in hot, enclosed spaces—this discussion is both timely and critical. Rising global temperatures have only heightened these risks, but heat-related illnesses and fatalities remain entirely preventable with proper planning and training.

This webinar will bring together perspectives from both labor and management to share real-world strategies for keeping workers safe while still getting the job done. The conversation will explore best practices for pre-job and pre-task planning, workforce training, and practical on-site protections to reduce the risks of heat-related illness and injury.
